L'ART DECORATIF ET INDUSTRIEL DE L'U.R.S.S.

(EXPOSITION--PARIS--1925)  L'ART DECORATIF ET INDUSTRIEL DE L'U.R.S.S.

Moscow: 1925. 4to. Color-printed wrappers. 94, XXVIII pages, 13 plates, 2 of which are tipped-in color reproductions. First edition.

A handsomely printed exposition catalogue, designed by A. Rodtschenko with the original cover printed in red, black, and silver.  The Paris Exposition, known for its celebration of Art Deco, also introduced Soviet architecture, theater, art, and the applied arts to the Western world.  The text contains articles by A. Lunatscharsky, J. Tugendhold, D. Arkine, A.A. Sidoroff, D. Sterenberg, and others.  With textural illustrations throughout and thirteen plates, two of which are tipped-in color reproductions.  The final twenty-eight pages are advertisements (Oh, those capitalists!) of Russian products from automobiles to playing cards.  The extremities of the spine are slightly chipped, still a very good to fine copy of an important book.  While this work is cited by OCLC as being in several libraries, it is rarely found in commerce.
