A thought-provoking survey of vase design from antiquities through art deco. The first fourteen plates are photogravures of historic vases; the remainder: drawings of new vase design based on the past. These are printed in two colors. The suite of plates is most uncommon. OCLC list five copies world-wide, four of which are in the United States.   Ownership stamps on title page and in the upper corner of many plates, still, a very good set.
