First published in 1731, the eighth edition was modified to include Linnaeus's classification system.  Miller's great work was popular among colonial Virginians. Thomas Jefferson owned the seventh edition while William Byrd, Landon Carter, John Mercer, and Robert Carter all owned the unabridged folio editions.  This is a well-margined copy on good crisp paper.  Respined; tips worn, else a very good copy.
